Durga Puja Assembly 2021
Delhi Public School, Durgapur streamed a special programme live on virtual platforms to celebrate and rejoice Durga Puja on October 9, 2021. The celebration commenced with the iconic Durga Puja welcome Song -“Ogo Aamar Agomoni Alo Jalo Pradeep Jalo Jalo, Ogo Aamar Agomoni Aalo” and was followed by an array of spectacular acts. The students, teachers and parents were greeted by the Principal Shri Umesh Chand Jaiswal who wished them happiness, health and prosperity. The riveting performance of the skit, screening the anecdote of Kalketu and Phullora, as depicted in the Chandimangal Kavya, presented the story of Goddess Durga in a light that was unseen and unprecedented.The skit made the way for a medley of vivid dance performances by the students, vindicating the strength and courage that the different avatars of the Devi epitomise. This stunning display of devotion and finery saw its culmination with the vote of thanks, by the Head Boy of the school, Akshat Khaitan.
