Vasantotsav Cultural Competition 2022-23
The season of vivacious colors and joy is spring. The inter-school celebration of cultural activities, Vasantotsav 2023, was hosted by Delhi Public School, Durgapur on March 29. The event served as a long-standing source of cultural inspiration. Happiness and excitement could be felt everywhere with the entire environment covered in a euphoric beauty and radiant color.
The day began with a harmonious presentation of welcome song “ Ore Rangiye Diye Jao” along with a breathtaking dance on “ Basanti he Bhubano Mohini” by the students of the host school, that mesmerized the audience. It was followed by a motivational speech by the Principal, Sri Umesh Ch. Jaiswal, who addressed the students and filled in them with enthusiasm with his words.
Several participants from various schools in and around Durgapur were invited to showcase their presentation in various fields like music, dance, instrumental music and illustration of different pieces of art. The participants were divided into three groups. Group A consisted of participants from class 2 to 4, Group B from class 5 to 7 and Group C from class 8 and 9. The carnival’s festive mood was heightened by the performers vivacious performances, while decked up in their vibrant costumes.
