National Science Day 2022
Science plays a significant role in facing challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution and poverty reduction, as it lays the foundation for new approaches and solutions. To fulfil this commitment to society, the need of the hour is to create dynamic connections between knowledge and action. The students of DPS Durgapur observed National Science Day to remember the phenomenal discovery of the Raman Effect by the profound Indian Physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on this day.
The presentation was to honour Sir C. V. Raman’s exceptional contribution to research and discovery who received the Nobel Prize in 1930. The students highlighted some scientific facts based on this year’s theme – ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future‘. The sustainability science approach is essential for effective decision-making with regard to global sustainability, since social, environmental and cultural systems are closely linked. The entire program was to inspire future generations to pursue their dreams in every possible way.
