Mangalacharan-Rath Yatra 2021
Our country is well-known around the world for being the largest secular nation in the world with a variety of religions. India stands on one of the top places for the count of festivals it celebrates. RATHA YATRA or the Chariot festival is an annual celebration of the journey of Lord Jagannatha along with his siblings Subhadra and Balaram from the 12th century Jagannath temple to Gundicha temple. The pulling of the chariot during rath yatra is believed to bring prosperity and happiness in one’s life with peace and serenity.
Delhi Public School, Durgapur celebrated this serene occasion on July 12, on virtual platform worshipping the Lord while spreading love and brotherhood among all. The students invoked Lord Jagannatha through the following dance MANGALACHARAN beginning with the beautiful description of the Lord……‘BRAHMA DARU SWARAMI’. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the live programme with great reverence to the Lord.
