English Language day 2021
On the occasion of the English Language Day, on April 23,2021 Delhi Public School, Durgapur celebrated this eventful day to entertain and inform students about the history, culture and achievements associated with English Language. The ‘Bard of Avon’, William Shakespeare’s birthday and death day falls on April 23. He is regarded as one of the greatest writers, poet and dramatist, who left an indelible impact on English language with his insurmountable contribution to the field of literature, playing the key role in popularizing the language. Students from classes 6-9 participated in the online session which was a compilation of various scenes forming the casket story from the ‘Merchant of Venice’ by William Shakespeare. The live programme was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.
