Kick Off
Delhi Public School, Durgapur organised an Inter-School Football Competition in the school football ground. The tournament was formally inaugurated on 25th of July, with the day witnessing 4 exciting matches played between 8 schools of Durgapur. Total 16 schools from in and around Durgapur played for the much-coveted trophy. The Chief Guests of the exhilarating event were Sri. Subrata Paul, an Arjuna Awardee and Sri Bikash Panji, the midfield footballer who was a part of 1984, Asian Cup. The Guests of Honour, were Sri Biswajit Das and Sri Amitava Ghosh. The final day, culminated by the nail -biting match between the host school Delhi Public School, Durgapur and Guru Teg Bahadur School. The equally strong teams show -cased their excellent skill and performance. The cup was lifted up by Guru Teg Bahadur Public School and Delhi Public School was the runner-up The program was witnessed with thunders of applause and cheers.
