Investiture Ceremony 2023

The students Council has always been a powerful force in the journey of a student’ s life.It is a shared responsibility and commitment on projects that support the child’s learning and development. DPS always believed that the leaders of tomorrow need to possess a high level of problem-solving skills and leadership qualities. The school ‘s Investiture Ceremony was held on 6th May, 2023, in the school AVR where, the swearing in of the newly elected members of the school student council was conducted with a lot of enthusiasm and passion.
The event commenced with the welcome song by the school choir. The 18 members of the junior students’ council from classes II – V and 26 members of the senior students’ council from classes VI – XII along with the eight school appointees namely, Technical Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Sports Secretary and Magazine Secretary were conferred with badge and sash by the Principal ,Sri Umesh Chand Jaiswal.
The captains and vice-captains of the respective houses namely, Ganga, Kaveri, Chenab and Teesta, along with the prefects of classes II – IX, and the school appointees took the oath of office with a promise to carry out their duties and responsibilities with integrity, faith and excellence. The school Head Boy Avik Singha Roy and the Head Girl Mihika Bajoria expressed their gratefulness to school for believing in them and pledged to keep the school flag flying high. The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Manisha Joshi the Activity Co-ordinator of the school.
