Sports Day
Delhi Public School Durgapur marked a grand milestone with its 10th Annual Sports Meet held on 21st Dec’23 at Nehru stadium, Durgapur. The honourable chief guest gracing the event was guest Mr. Rahul Banerjee , an Indian Olympian and Arjuna Awardee archer. The event began with an inspiring speech by the school Principal, Sri Umesh Chand Jaiswal setting the tone for a day filled with athletic prowess and team spirit. It was followed by the hoisting of the school flag and a speech by the Chief Guest. The melodious rendition by the school choir was followed by the march past by four houses and track and field events. The winners were honoured with medals on the podium. Zestful and well synchronised performances, stunning stunts of karate and spectacular dance by Bulbuls, enraptured the audience.
The winners were applauded through medals and the Best March Past, the Best House Enclosure and Champions Trophy along with the Best Male and Female Athlete prizes were also given. The day culminated with the vote of thanks by the School Head Boy followed by the National Anthem. The Sports Meet was a big success in terms of exhibiting one’s talent in the best possible way.
